Position summaries:
Institutional Marketing Manager
The Institutional Marketing Manager will be responsible for the development of relationships with registered investment advisors, family offices, institutional consultants and institutions. The position will be located in Somerville, NJ, although travel will be required on a frequent basis. The position requires a minimum of five years of sales experience selling into the institutional, registered investment advisor or brokerage channels. Working knowledge of the asset allocation process/industry is required. Experience marketing global equity strategies is preferred. A bachelor's degree in Finance or Marketing and the Series 7 are required.
Investment Associates
Investment Associates work as part of a multi-faceted team responsible for: supporting the investment process through trade implementation and portfolio analysis; acting as first liaison for client and prospect requests; management, aggregation, and analysis of data to support both management and sales reporting; and, facilitating account set-up and maintenance using a variety of databases/systems. A dynamic personality is required as Investment Associates facilitate projects and processes across the Investment, Marketing, Operations, Trading, and Compliance departments, while also representing the firm externally to investors or financial advisors considering Harding Loevner for allocations through a variety of delivery vehicles. The position requires a bachelor's degree, preferably in Finance, Economics or another quantitative field. Knowledge of the investment industry and mutual funds is helpful.
Research Associate
The Research Associate position offers a qualified and motivated individual the opportunity to develop his or her securities analysis abilities through continual interaction with experienced analysts and portfolio managers. The Research Associate will support portfolio managers and analysts in the investment process through tasks such as the creation of earnings models, fundamental business analysis and portfolio performance attribution analysis. The position requires a bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or another quantitative field. Familiarity with the investment industry and mutual funds is helpful.
Trading & Systems Analyst
The Trader & Systems Analyst will support the firm's effort to increase the automation of trade operations, augmenting straight-through-processing systems while simultaneously pursuing trade cost minimization. The Trader & Systems Analyst will undertake all facets of the trade life cycle including placement, communications and settlements in addition to executing equity trades in global developed and emerging markets. The position requires a bachelor's degree, preferably in Systems, Engineering, or Finance and one to five years of prior exposure to either equity trading operations or other non-US markets. Proficiency in Excel required, and proficiency in VBA preferred. Knowledge of Advent's Moxy, Axys and Geneva software platforms and Omgeo CTM preferred.
